Refund policy
What happens to your money if you change your mind. Written so you can work out where you stand without emailing us.
Last updated September 6, 2026.
The short version
- A website is $300, paid as $150 to start and $150 when it goes live. The first $150 is not refundable once we begin work. The second $150 is never charged if you cancel before launch.
- The $500 a month retainer runs month to month. Give us fourteen days notice and it stops. The month you are in is not refunded.
The rest of this page is the detail behind those two lines.
The website build
The deposit
The $150 deposit is what lets us start. Once we have it we begin writing your text, which is the bulk of the job and happens before you see anything. That work cannot be given back, so the deposit is not refundable once we have started.
There is one exception. If you pay the deposit and then cancel before we have started work, we refund it in full. In practice that means telling us within two business days, because we usually start the next morning. Ask and we will tell you honestly whether we have begun.
The balance
The remaining $150 is only invoiced on the day the site goes live. If you cancel at any point before then, for any reason or none, you are not charged it. There is nothing to claim back because it was never taken.
This is the part worth understanding: the most you can lose by hiring us and changing your mind is $150.
If you cancel mid build
Tell us and we will stop. You keep the deposit position described above, you are not invoiced for the balance, and we will send you whatever we have written so far so it is not wasted. We will not hold finished text hostage over a cancelled job.
If we cancel
If we walk away from a job for our own reasons, or we cannot finish it, we refund the deposit in full even if we have done the work. That is our problem, not yours. If we cancel because we cannot get the details or photographs we need after sixty days of asking, the deposit stays with us and the balance is not charged.
If the site is broken
For thirty days after launch we fix anything broken that is our fault, free and without argument. That is a repair, not a refund. If we cannot get it working, we will refund what you paid for the site.
The monthly retainer
Cancelling
The retainer is month to month. There is no minimum term and no annual contract. To stop it, email us at least fourteen days before your next billing date and it will not be charged again.
Fourteen days rather than none because posts are written and scheduled ahead of time. When you give notice we finish what is already written and hand it to you, so you are not paying for work you never see.
The month you are in
The current month is not refunded, whole or in part. That month's work is already commissioned and mostly already done by the time notice arrives.
If you cancel with less than fourteen days notice
The next month is charged and then it stops. You get that month's full eight posts and ad creative. We will not bill a month and then not do the work.
If we drop the ball
If we miss the volume we promised in a month, which is eight posts and one round of new ad creative, tell us. We will either make it up in the following month or refund that month, your choice.
How a refund is paid
Back to the card or account you paid from, within ten business days of us agreeing it. We do not issue credit notes and we will not push you into taking store credit instead of your money.
How to ask
Email hello@arazscales.com and say what you want to cancel. You do not need a reason. We will reply within two business days confirming what happens to the money, in writing, before anything is processed.
What this page does not change
Nothing here removes any right you have under Texas law, including under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act. If this page and the law disagree, the law wins.
How to reach us about this
